Proven Outcomes

Experts have studied Lambi Fund and found well-documented evidence that Lambi Fund projects create change with:

  • improved economic conditions

  • increased availability of food

  • reduced erosion

  • improved environment

  • increased availability of potable water

 

2022 SUCCESS: 

  • In 2022, the Lambi Fund supported 16 reforestation projects with 300,000 seedlings which consisted of 17 different forest and fruit trees. 

  • The Lambi Fund provided training, resources and technical assistance to support sustainable development efforts for 352 farmers from 16 organizations

  • The Alternative Economics program helped: a) 126 women from six organizations to establish microcredit loan funds to sell products and services at the market and b) 55 women from 11 organizations to establish microcredit funds to create markets for their harvested crops. This year participants successfully planted and harvested peanuts, corn, beans, and other fast growing crops.

  • increased gender equity

  • improved democratic functioning

  • increased management capacity of organizations

  •  increased collaboration among grassroots organizations

In 2005 the Lambi Fund contracted with INFODEV to conduct an evaluation of our first 10 years of work.
